Konkana’s story follows a working woman who’s sexually repressed and suffers from frequent migraines, relieves herself and develops a kink for voyeurism. At the end of the story, Veda and Arjun make for one happy and satisfied couple and finally tie the knot. Veda is embarrassed and flustered at first but also heeds her grandmother’s words. She also teaches her the importance of completion in sexual intercourse, i.e., orgasm. She goes on to guide Veda on the lessons of true compatibility between partners, the sex part of which she says is extremely crucial. The parents are enraged that the grandmother will keep talking about such obscenities but the old woman can’t care less. That’s exactly what happens when Veda’s grandmother interrupts the giddy occasion with an absolute belter of a question - have the love birds tried sex yet? However, when it comes to topics like sex, all their progressive ideas and notions are disrupted beyond recognition. It’s revealed that they met through their parents, who all pride themselves on being progressive. Balki’s mindscape and follows Veda and Arjun, two young people ready to take on the next chapter of their love life - marriage. Devyani walks out of her room with a victorious smile, and at this point, the audience is reminded of Devyani’s call with her ex-brothel keeper. He stumbles into his house, and Devyani hears the chuckles of a man and a woman, and the giggles soon turn into the sound of making love. Towards the end, we are shown that Suraj has come back home in a drunk state on what seems to be a regular night for him. Before Devyani married Suraj, she used to work as a prostitute, and he frequently uses her past as a way to put her down. A drunk rapist who does not seek consent from any woman he lays his eyes on, Suraj is a heinous man. The lusty desire for the female body killed him, and it continues to haunt him in his afterlife as well. ![]() Upon his arrival to his beaten-down car, Sujoy reveals that Vijay had been dead all along and it was the ghost of his dead wife that had been haunting him. Hearing a knock on her door, he runs towards his car in the hope that he will escape this fantastical town. Vijay’s creepiness is evident from the first moment he lays his eyes on Shanti, and with every scene, Sujoy cements our notion that this man is bad news for the women around him.Īfter he has sex with Shanti, he kills her by suffocating her with a pillow. After a chance meeting with his ex-wife Shanti (Bhatia), it is obvious that his obsession with the female body isn’t just restricted to one woman.
